A favorite of bloggers and vloggers, the Sony RX100 VI is a compact, all-in-one camera with a 20.1-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS low-light sensor and a built-in 9– 72mm (35mm equivalent 24–200mm) f/2.8 through f/4.5 Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* Lens and flash. The lens has an optical zoom range of 8.33x, a clear image zoom range of 16x, and a digital range of 32x: it’s a remarkable telephoto lens in a small package.

The Sony RX100 VI has a hybrid autofocus system with 25 contrast detection points and 315 phase detection points. The minimum focusing distance is 3.15 inches.High-density Tracking AF Technology makes this camera excellent for capturing  subjects in motion, because it concentrates autofocus points around the subject’s location at up to a quick 24 fps and bursts of up to 233 JPEGs before the buffer wall. The unique Touch Focus feature allows you to focus on the touchscreen while you use the viewfinder. Optical SteadyShot gives you the equivalent of 4.0-stops of image stabilization, and native ISO range is 125–12800 is extendable down to 80.

Get high-quality 4K video, with no line skipping or pixel binning at 24/30 fps in XAVC S format. A DRAM chip gets you full 1080p HD at up to an incredible 960 fps. Send your uncompressed video to an external device at an output of 4:2:2 via Micro-HDMI, and take advantage of S-Log2, S-Log3, and HLG gammas to get a more comprehensive dynamic range and tonality. During video recording, the lens has a clear image zoom range of 12x in 4K, 16x in HD, and a digital zoom range of 32x. Record decent audio through the built-in stereo mic.

This camera weighs less than one pound, but still includes a 3.0-inch 921.6k-dot tilting rear touchscreen LCD with TouchPad Autofocus, which allows you to choose your focus points on the touchscreen while you compose through 0.39-inch 2,359kdot SVGA OLED pop-up electronic viewfinder. The LCD tilts up 180 degrees up and 90 degrees down, meaning that you can get the shot from multiple angles, whether you’re using a tripod or shooting by hand. Fans of the Mark V will be familiar with it.

The body is lightweight and hardy, but not weather sealed. It comes complete with HDMI D (Micro), High-Speed USB 2.0, and Micro USB ports. File formats for still images are JPEG and RAW (up to 5472 x 3648). Video formats are AVCHD Ver. 2.0, MP4, and XAVC S. One memory card slot works with SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards. It’s also compatible with Memory Stick PRO Duo (Mark2), Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo, Memory Stick XC-HG Duo, Memory Stick Micro (Mark2). You can also easily share your images or make your smart device a remote control via built-in WiFi and Bluetooth.
